William, Prince of Wales, and Kate Middleton first crossed paths while students at Scotland’s University of St. Andrews. They supposedly met through mutual friends, and although Kate was shy at first, they eventually became an item.
“When I met you, I actually flushed and quickly retreated, feeling extremely shy,” she recalled.
“In the beginning, William wasn’t there for a significant amount of time; in fact, he wasn’t there even during Freshman’s Week, so it took some time for us to become acquainted.”
